1. Introduction

Better Events ("we", "our", or "the app") is an event management application for Whop communities. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect and process:

  • Event data: Event names, descriptions, dates, locations, and related content you create
  • RSVP data: User IDs and attendance status for events
  • User identifiers: Whop user IDs and member information provided by the Whop platform
  • Gmail integration (optional): If you connect Gmail, we store encrypted OAuth refresh tokens to send emails on your behalf. We do not read, scan, or access the contents of your emails.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data to provide event management features: creating and editing events, sending push notifications for reminders, and optionally sending email notifications when you connect Gmail. Member emails are fetched from Whop solely to deliver event-related emails you choose to send.

4. Gmail OAuth

If you connect Gmail, we request only the gmail.send scope to send emails as you. We store your OAuth refresh token encrypted at rest. We use it solely to send reminder and event notification emails to attendees when you have chosen to enable email notifications.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Data is shared only with Whop (as the host platform) and, when you connect Gmail, with Google for sending emails.

6. Security

Gmail tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

You may disconnect Gmail at any time from the app settings. You may also request deletion of your data by contacting us.
